Centennial Classic VII: A Night to Remember

The Centennial Classic VII was an exciting evening of community and memorable moments. This year’s game saw an intense matchup between the Summerside Western Capitals and the Valley Wildcats.

Incredible Sponsors Made It All Possible

A big thank you to our sponsors for their generous support in making this event a success. Giant Tiger provided amazing gift baskets, and Space Treats added their delicious treats to our swag bags.

HMS contributed LEGO sets for our winners, while Maritime Electric supplied fun coloring books for the kids. Double Eagle Indoor Golf offered two one-hour simulator sessions, and Holman’s Ice Cream Parlour included free ice cream vouchers in every prize pack.

Additionally, Arsenault Bros. Construction and Tops To Floors each donated $100 for prizes, The Toy Factory supplied puzzle toys, and Central Coastal Drive PEI provided hot chocolate vouchers. Thanks to their contributions, our prize tables were filled with fantastic items!

First Intermission Highlights

The first intermission brought the highly anticipated Race to Shoot and Win $1,000. Our Contestants dressed as a Hotdog (Aaron Newsome), Ketchup bottle (Ray Bulger), and Mustard bottle (Sarah Drummond) took to the ice for a fun and competitive challenge. After an intense race, Ketchup scored first to win $1,000 (congrats, Ray!), and Hotdog earned second place, moving on to the Dash for Cash.

Blindfolded and guided by the cheering crowd, Hotdog found the hidden cash (well done, Aaron!). It was a true team effort from everyone in the arena!

Second Intermission: Chuck-a-Puck Excitement

During the second intermission, the Chuck-a-Puck contest saw a great turnout, with so many kids participating that the doors had to be opened to let them onto the ice. The winner took home a $100 cash prize!

Back to the Ice

The game was exciting, with the Summerside Western Capitals securing a 6-1 win over the Valley Wildcats. Fans enjoyed swag giveaways during every whistle, including our popular Centennial winter toques

A Team Effort

None of this would have been possible without our incredible staff volunteers. From our tent team, who ensured every prize went to the right winner, to our swag crew, who kept the energy high with Centennial toques. Our puck team made sure every kid received a Centennial Classic puck, while our ticket volunteers ensured a smooth entry for all attendees.

Thank you all for your hard work and energy—you helped make this event a success!

We’re already counting down the days to next year’s Centennial Classic. Thank you to everyone who joined us, and we can’t wait to see you again!
