Ask Centennial: Where Are Mazdas Built?

Where does Mazda build its vehicles?

All over the world. But we can provide a much more in-depth answer.

This is the second installment of a new series here in Centennial Mazda's News & Events section: Ask Centennial. When our customers have questions about Mazda, we want to answer them. Check out question No.1 here.

Primarily, Mazda production takes place in Japan. Mazda builds the 3, 6, CX-5, CX-9, and MX-5 Miata in Aki, Hiroshima. The CX-8, which isn't sold in North America, is also manufactured in Aki. Mazda has been building vehicles at the Aki plant since 1931. There is another plant that assembles the 2, 3, CX-3, 6, and CX-5 in in Hofu, Yamaguchi.

Mazda also builds vehicles at multiple plants in Thailand. There are Mazda assembly plants in Vietnam, Malaysia, Russia, and China. Other than vehicles built in Japan, some Canada-bound Mazdas are built in Salamanca, Mexico. There is another North American facility coming on board in the next few years in Huntsville, Alabama.

No matter where your new Mazda's built or how far it had to travel to get to Centennial Mazda in Charlottetown, it's always backed by Canada's only Unlimited Mileage warranty.
