Consumer Reports Says The 2020 Mazda MX-5 Miata Is The Most Reliable Vehicle You Can Buy

Fun.

There's probably never been a word in the three-decade history of the Mazda Miata with which the Miata brand was more closely linked. Driving enjoyment is a major component of every Mazda, and all of that flows out of the Miata.

But the Miata faithful have always known something else about the four generations of MX-5, right from the first NA to the second-generation NB, the third-gen NC, and the current ND version.

Miatas are reliable

Now, according to Consumer Reports' industry leading reliability survey, with data collected from 420,000 vehicles, it's become even easier to quantify the Mazda MX-5 Miata's reliability.

According to Consumer Reports, the 2020 Mazda MX-5 Miata is the most reliable vehicle you can buy. Not just the most reliable roadster. Not just the most reliable sports car. Not just the most reliable two-seater. Not just the most reliable car.

Taking all vehicles into account, the MX-5 is No.1.

And just to put a cherry on top of this two-seat sundae, Consumer Reports also ranked Mazda as the top mainstream/volume brand in reliability. If that isn't enough, the 10 Most Reliable Cars list includes not just the No.1 MX-5 Miata but also the Mazda CX-3 and the Mazda CX-9.

Fun is in our DNA.

But this is a serious business, and Mazda clearly takes dependability, durability, and reliability very, very seriously. Centennial Mazda shares this philosophy – that's why we were named the top Mazda dealer in Atlantic Canada for service retention.
