In Memory Of Shawn Jankura: 1983-2024

With heavy hearts, we mourn the passing of our colleague, Shawn Jankura, who passed away on the evening of September 18th, near his home in Tyne Valley. Following the tragic accident, Shawn leaves behind his wife, Melannie, and their two children: Aurelle and Declan.

Shawn moved to Prince Edward Island with his family in 2021 and began working with Centennial Auto Group at the very beginning of 2022. From his very first day at Centennial, Shawn instantly earned the respect of his coworkers. Shawn was always a positive and upbeat presence and quickly became a friend to everyone he came across. Shawn moved around between virtually every Centennial location throughout the course of a workweek, but all of his coworkers are in agreement: it was a better day if Shawn was working where you were working.

Shawn built an outstanding reputation wherever he went, first and foremost, because of his willingness to always lend a helping hand. Much more than a colleague, Shawn was a friend, a volunteer firefighter, a brother, a son, a husband, and a father.
