Kia Canada Is Smashing Sales Records In The Summer Of 2020
August 10 2020, Centennial Kia
In Kia's "Return Of The Road Trip Event," Kia Canada does not defer six months' of payments on some of the most popular models in the brand's lineup. Kia actually pays the first six payments.
That's the kind of service Kia Canada has been keen to provide Canadians over the last two decades. "Amid these turbulent and trying times, we're committed to supporting the communities that we call home, and we're grateful to serve these drivers with the excellence, value, and safety we're known for," says Kia Canada's COO, Elias El-Achhab.
When you deliver quality, innovation, and performance – even during a pandemic – consumers are apt to respond. And the response has, in fact, been record-breaking.
June 2020, with 8,647 sales, was the highest-volume month in Kia's history. That was followed up by best-ever July results with 8,300 sales. Nearly 6 out of every 10 of those sales stemmed from Kia's three leading models: Sorento, Forte, and Seltos.
The Seltos is undeniably Kia's latest smash hit. The Seltos arrived on Centennial Kia's lot just as COVID-19 became a going concern, but Kia has still managed to sell 4,732 copies of the Seltos across Canada. In fact, in the second-quarter of 2020, the newly-launched Seltos was already the No.2 seller in its segment despite severely constricted inventory.
The Seltos already ranks as one of Canada's 10 top-selling utility vehicles even though Kia, given prevailing constraints, hasn't even been able to fully launch the vehicle.
Kia certainly isn't done with new product. The Optima-replacing Kia K5 has already been unveiled, and an all-new 2021 Kia Sorento is bound to light the sales charts on fire.
